We're looking for a hands-on person who can understand where a project is headed, anticipate the next steps, and keep the teams, subcontractors, and professionals aligned until delivery.

You know that a well-managed construction site isn't necessarily one without unforeseen challenges.

Your Role

You will be the point of contact on the project site and will work closely with the project manager, our team leaders, our carpenters, and our partners.

Your role will be to bring the plans to life while maintaining the level of quality expected at SIROY.

Specifically, you will be required to:

• Review the plans, specifications, technical details, and project objectives;

• Plan the short-term work according to the overall schedule;

• Organize the work sequences and anticipate the next steps;

• Coordinate our Teams of carpenters, subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries; Ensure that each stakeholder has the necessary information, materials, and access; Monitor the progress of the work daily and promptly report any deviations from the schedule; Monitor the quality of execution and compliance with plans and specifications; Inspect the work before it is covered or before the next stages begin; Identify technical issues, document situations, and propose solutions; Maintain clear communication with the project manager, professionals, and various stakeholders; Lead site meetings and ensure follow-up decisions;

• Document the project's progress using reports, photos, and our management tools;

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations;

• Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized worksite;

• Coordinate inspections, deficiency tracking, and site closure.

The objective is simple: to move the project forward efficiently without ever sacrificing quality, safety, or respect for everyone's work.

Projects

SIROY is a general contractor and has its own teams of carpenters and joiners.

We primarily undertake new construction and major renovations, from Montreal to Mont-Tremblant, with a strong presence in the Laurentians. Our projects include high-end residences and complex architectural designs that require close coordination, precision, and meticulous attention to detail. We regularly collaborate with specialized architects, designers, engineers, and consultants. SIROY is also Passivhaus and Novoclimat certified, reflecting the importance placed on sound construction methods, building performance, and quality of workmanship.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who truly understands construction sites and has already managed major projects.

Ideally, you possess:

• several years of experience as a superintendent, foreman, or in a comparable role;

• experience in high-end residential construction, major renovations, or complex projects;

• an excellent understanding of construction methods and sequences;

• a very good ability to read and interpret plans and specifications;

• solid knowledge of structural engineering and building envelopes Building and finishing;

• The ability to plan several steps in advance;

• Good judgment and a knack for finding solutions;

• Calm, direct, and respectful leadership;

• High level of autonomy and excellent organizational skills;

• Clear communication with tradespeople, professionals, and clients;

• Proficiency with digital site monitoring tools;

• A valid ASP Construction certificate;

• A valid driver's license and the ability to travel between sites;

• A journeyman's card Carpentry skills and hands-on experience with tools are significant assets.
