Director of Engineering and R&D

Our client is an innovative company looking to fill the key position of Engineering Manager and Based in Laval.

As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic direction of the engineering team and the successful execution of technical projects.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate closely with other departments to ensure the continuous development of the various projects and products.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and supervise a team of talented engineers, ensuring they have the resources and environment they need to succeed.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies to achieve the objectives of the company.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including the Production, Finance and Marketing teams, to ensure project coordination and alignment.
  • Participate in the planning, monitoring and control of technical projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and on budget.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes to ensure the efficiency and quality of deliverables.
  • Ensure constant technological monitoring to stay up to date on new trends and best practices in the industry.

 

Qualifications Required

 

  • University degree in engineering
  • Member in good standing of the Order of Engineers (full license)
  • Bilingualism (French and English)
  • Experience: at least 10 years, including 5 as a manager
  • Strong technical skills
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with an ability to inspire and motivate team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and achieve set objectives.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to engineering.
