Main Responsibilities As an Industrial Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs associated with industrial projects and supporting the team in preparing competitive bids. Your analysis will directly contribute to the success of our projects and the satisfaction of our clients.

More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Analyze plans, quotes, specifications, and calls for tenders.
  • Prepare complete and accurate estimates for industrial projects.
  • Evaluate the costs of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate technical requirements.
  • Follow up on price requests with suppliers.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating tools and processes.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Understanding of fire protection systems and their Components.
  • Mastery or good knowledge of ULC, NFPA, and NBC standards, as well as requirements specific to fire safety projects.
  • Ability to analyze plans, specifications, tenders, and technical documents.
  • Excellent communication skills, both with clients and internal teams.
  • Analytical mindset and ability to propose solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Autonomy, sense of responsibility, and a results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team within a technical and collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in computer tools (Microsoft Office Suite, estimating software, or plan reading software (an asset)).
