Experienced refrigeration engineer

Job Description

As an experienced refrigeration engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pump, and air exchanger systems for residential and commercial customers.

  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and optimizing equipment performance.

  • Conducting inspections and tests to ensure proper operation and compliance with standards.

  • Ensuring traceability: maintaining up-to-date service reports, parts used, and recommendations.

  • Strictly comply with production standards. safety, applicable codes, and environmental regulations regarding refrigerants.

  • Collaborate closely with the team (technical and customer service) to provide a seamless, professional, and high-quality experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • DEP or AEC in refrigeration, or equivalent.

  • Proven experience: 3 to 5 years minimum, ideally in a residential, commercial, or industrial environment.

  • Certification for handling refrigerants (halocarbon cards / RBQ compliance).

  • Proficiency in hydraulic and electrical diagrams, refrigeration circuits, and laws Thermodynamics.

  • Ability to use pressure gauges, vacuum pumps, thermometers, leak detectors, etc.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schematics.

  • Strong analytical skills, autonomy, rigor, and good communication skills.

  • Valid driver's license – frequent travel

  • Availability for emergency service calls: some evenings/weekends possible.
