The Auto Parts Counter  Attendant works in a fast-paced environment that involves constant interaction with customers, in person and on the telephone, as well as the use of a computer system. search for truck parts. This position also involves interaction with external salespeople using varied processes and systems, as well as responsibility for maintaining the auto center sales floor.

Primary duties and responsibilities

- Provide excellent customer service and demonstrate a consistent commitment to meeting the customer’s needs;

- Direct and guide customers to the location of requested items;

- Respond quickly to requests for information and 

Customer concerns, by phone or in person;

- Handle delicate situations with professionalism;

- Be informed of in-store promotions, auto center specials and item locations;

- Find and order automotive parts for customers from authorized suppliers;

- Follow the procedures regarding ordering and selling parts to the customer and at the truck center counter;

- Process returns, warranties and returns, as necessary;

- Check batteries, starters and alternators.

- Take care of filling the batteries according to the training received;

- Fill the shelves and displays using modules and diagrams of

presentation;

- Ensure inventory accuracy and monitor and report low inventory levels (e.g., checking empty locations and analyzing display capacities);

- Use computers and RF readers and enter all relevant codes into the systems.
