Job Description

For its Water Management Service, the City of Laval is looking for:  Operator - Wastewater

STATUS: Temporary

JOB POSTING NUMBER:   3668

SALARY:   Class 9  $37.81

SCHEDULE:   Monday to Thursday 7 AM to 4:30 PM or Tuesday to Friday from 7 AM to 4:30 PM - 36 hours per week. 

The challenges that await you

Perform various tasks involving the management, operation, maintenance, and optimization of wastewater infrastructure.

The ideal profile for us
  • Hold a college diploma (DEC) or a college vocational studies certificate (AEC) in water treatment or a vocational studies diploma (DEP) in water treatment process operation;
  • Possess a valid qualification certificate as per Article 44 of the Drinking Water Quality Regulation and/or as per Article 10 of the Municipal Wastewater Treatment Works Regulation;
  • Hold a class 5 driver's license in accordance with the requirements of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec;
  • Must comply with a medical examination to meet the laws and occupational health and safety standards regarding entry into confined spaces.
