This is a role for someone who enjoys project management but wants to stay close to the concrete aspects. Here, we are talking about real projects, job sites, coordination with field teams, cost tracking, schedules, contractual changes, and collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
We are looking for a structured, resourceful person who can maintain an overview but is also grounded enough to understand the real issues happening on a job site.
Reporting to the building and formwork department management, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the execution of the projects assigned to you.
Your role will be to ensure that projects progress according to established objectives, in terms of schedules, costs, quality, and team coordination.
More concretely, you will be called to:
Participate in the transfer of bids to project execution;
Analyze plans, specifications, budgets, schedules, and execution conditions;
Plan the various stages of projects with internal teams;
Coordinate needs with engineering, purchasing, design, manufacturing, and the job site;
Work closely with superintendents, foremen, and field teams;
Monitor costs, schedules, and work progress;
Participate in job site meetings and follow-ups with clients;
Manage changes, extras, and adjustments during the project;
Quickly identify issues and propose concrete solutions;
Contribute to the profitability tracking of projects.
We are looking for someone who understands the reality of construction and can navigate between the office, the job site, clients, and internal teams.
You could be a good fit if you have:
Experience in project management or coordination in construction;
A good understanding of building, formwork, concrete, or structures;
Comfort in reading and interpreting plans and specifications;
A good ability to follow budgets, schedules, and priorities;
A structured approach, but not rigid;
A good sense of responsibility;
Ease in communicating with field teams;
Good judgment to manage unforeseen events;
A collaborative and solution-oriented attitude.
A background in building techniques, civil engineering, construction management or any other relevant experience will be considered.
Experience in formwork, concrete, or concrete structures;
Experience with a general contractor or a specialized subcontractor;
Experience with commercial, institutional, industrial, or municipal projects;
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
Knowledge of MS Project, Excel, or other project management tools;
Experience with contractual changes, extras, and profitability tracking.
We are not just looking for someone who knows how to manage a schedule in an Excel file.
We are looking for someone who understands what it means to deliver a construction project. Someone who can talk to a foreman, challenge a schedule, track costs, manage a client, ask the right questions, and stay on course when things change.
To join a stable company well-established in its market;
To work on concrete, technical, and varied projects;
To have a role with autonomy and impact;
To stay connected to the job site, without being solely focused on field execution;
To evolve in an environment where collaboration between office and job site is essential;
To develop your expertise in a solid sector: building, formwork, and concrete structures.
If you see yourself in this type of role, or if you are simply curious to learn more, write to me directly.
