Responsibilities — deliver the site, protect contracts, track profitability Take charge of the startup and execution of your projects. Oversee the progress of work and participate in site meetings. Work closely with foremen and support them when issues arise on the ground. Plan labor, equipment, material, and work method needs. Negotiate and award certain subcontracting contracts. Manage purchase orders related to project needs. React to unforeseen events and adjust execution when the reality of the site changes. Evaluate and negotiate modifications, additions, and extra work. Track costs and financial commitments. Produce and monitor monthly profitability reports. Desired Profile — essential requirements and expected leadership style A DEC in building techniques, a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or construction management, or a relevant combination of training and experience. About 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role in construction. A good understanding of how a civil engineering site operates. Experience in managing subcontractors, contracts, changes, costs, and schedules. A real ease in working with field teams and being present regularly on sites. A good command of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
