Intermediate Refrigeration Engineer – Toronto

As part of an integrated project team, this refrigeration engineer will design food & beverage, pharma and biotech process systems. With a potential option to be located in any of our Canada based office, the future team member will report to the Lead Engineer.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate on the design and analysis of refrigeration plants and systems
Perform CAD and drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in AutoCAD
Perform and/or supervise drafting of refrigeration systems schematics and layouts in Revit and/or Plant3D
Conduct safety and code compliance audits
Participate in the development of refrigeration related SOPs, HAZOPS and other safety analysis
Conduct site inspections of refrigeration systems
Write, format and proof-read specifications, proposals, reports, templates and other documents
Organize and maintain project records
Provide support and build relationships with new and existing clients
Collaborate with internal and external team members

Key Requirements:

2-3+ years of experience of industrial refrigeration system design and analysis.
Familiarity with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration systems.
Knowledge of refrigeration and piping codes and standards
A degree or diploma in mechanical or chemical engineering or qualifications in a related field.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work independently.
Proficiency in communicating effectively using technology.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Energetic and motivated problem solver
Ability to travel internationally
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Knowledge of AutoCAD software packages including Revit, Plant 3D and P&ID is considered an asset
