Technician - Instrumentation and Control - Buildings

The challenges that await you

You will perform various technical tasks involving analysis, modification of programming sequences, measurement of various parameters, and design of building control equipment.

More specifically:

  • Check the operation of control, measurement, and teletransmission devices of the mechanical systems of buildings;
  • Prepare sketches and preliminary estimates and submit recommendations to your supervisor for the improvement of existing systems and processes;
  • Program the automated systems of buildings and design the centralized building system (ventilation, heating, air conditioning);
  • Consult and mandate external firms specialized in the field. Supervise, if applicable, mandates and work done by contractors or subcontractors;
  • Inspect installations and ensure they are executed according to plans and specifications;
  • If necessary, provide technical support to electricians or other specialized employees when specific work requires your expertise;
  • Guide, inform, and initiate specialized employees (mechanics, refrigeration technicians, pipefitters, electricians) to new technologies and work methods;
  • Obtain from suppliers all necessary information for the selection of appropriate materials or parts.
The ideal profile for us

  • Education acquired through a college diploma (DEC) in industrial electronics technology;
  • Have three (3) years of relevant experience in the role, as described in the summary above;
  • Possess a Health and Safety on Construction Sites (SST) card;
  • Hold a valid class 5 driver's license and have a vehicle.
