NV-09As an executive protection advisor, you are responsible for the executive protection program for senior management.You provide advice (technical, integrated systems, codes, standards, corporate and residential executive protection) and support for dedicated clients and for partners as part of various significant intervention and development initiatives. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work.You develop recommendations, solutions and action plans in line with the organization's objectives and priorities. You help solve complex problems that require analysis and an in depth understanding of the line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields (information services, police, security agencies, etc.). Highly developed interpersonal skills are therefore essential.

Main responsibilities

  • Be the point of contact for clients (members of senior management and/or assistants)
  • Be responsible for operations support, relationships with providers, liaison with other DSP and external units
  • Propose solutions for improving or optimizing standards, policies and programs
  • Provide, when needed, training in security and physical protection and carry out courtesy visits
  • Develop communication tools and channels
  • Hold weekly executive meetings with the DSP and members of senior management
  • Support incident or risk investigations and analyses
  • Oversee pre-event visits to inspect the location and develop evacuation/contingency plans
  • Implement an inspection standard for VIP vehicles to be carried out by their drivers before each departure
  • Provide basic counter-surveillance training for VIP drivers and on the communication to follow
  • Make plans with the VIP drivers on the possibility of exiting in the event of an emergency
  • Work in alignment with the DSP and DGSO teams on monitoring for all types of threats to anticipate and prevent risks

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of a relevant experience

Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Have training in physical restraint, MEB, handcuffing and pressure point tactics
  • Having training on the power of arrest, the law on the abusive use of force and force continuum
  • Hold a BSP consultant licence
  •  For vacant positions available in Quebec, please note that knowledge of French is required 

Specific knowledge Proficient speaker, advanced knowledge of English.
