Summary of the post

The team of Design of the Engineering Department is formed of dynamic and creative professionals who specialize in the development of processes, services and industrial buildings in the field of agri-food.

within this team, The designer-designer participates, with the designers and project managers, at the various stages of analysis, design and realization of variable span projects up to + of $ 10 million. The latter will have to use different statement and design tools, 2D and 3D, as well as a good dose of teamwork to deliver projects in sometimes tight timelines.

more specifically The designer-designer will have:

  • take factory surveys with a 3D scanner;
  • perform innovative production facilities, 2D or 3D ;
  • produce 3D models of buildings, processes, equipment;
  • produce retail plans and cutting plans;
  • participate in the Definition and analysis of certain projects by the production of:
    • process mapping,
    • equipment table,
    • material balance,
    • Evacuation plans, HACCP plans
  • be on the lookout and integrate different standards such as:
    • health and safety standards,

      • Food Standards (Canadian Food Inspection Agency)
      • Construction Standards (Internal and Regulatory)
      • ergonomics notions
    • Participate in the update and development of internal standards.

    of Plus, the designer-designer is responsible for the quality of the logged reference information. It assumes this responsibility via several means including:

    • participation in the process of optimization of the tools and process of quality control of drawing;
    • participation in the closing process of Projects;
    • Archiving relevant documents;
    • Updating base plans and models and databases.

    Finally, as a member of a multidisciplinary and dynamic team, the designer-designer can be called upon to participate in any other task of the department, as needed.


    • show autonomy and rigor;
    • be structured;
    • Ability to work as a team and to issue or receive constructive criticism;
    • hold an architectural technique, in industrial design, engineering, industrial drawing training or any other equivalent training;
    • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software (asset);
    • Knowledge LSST (Law Occupational health and safety) (asset);
    • Experience in the agri-food field (asset);
    • Knowledge HACCP and SQF programs (asset).
