Reporting to the Project Director, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing the health, safety and environmental management processes related to established prevention programs. The incumbent will also have to coordinate the follow-up of the execution of the works carried out in remote tropical region with the support of a small team of prevention agents. The incumbent will serve as an occupational health and safety advisor to all members of the project team and be present on the job site to maintain a close relationship with them.
The coordinator will have to:
• Manage and deliver training sessions on the implementation of health and safety standards and guidelines on the project • Coordinate revisions and continuous improvement of work methods /> • Carry out OHS surveillance and good practices at the various sites of the site • Conduct prevention audits on construction sites • Identify and anticipate health and safety problems and problems risks by probing environmental, operational and professional conditions; investigate violations and recommend prevention programs • Manage a small team of prevention officers to ensure safe workflow throughout the project.
