Maintenance Dispatcher

A real estate company located in Montreal, and in full growth, wants to add the talent of a dispatcher of maintenance, repairs, electromechanics, claims and major work. The new recruit will have to ensure the distribution of requests, the link with external suppliers and the planning of internal work routes. He/She will also have to ensure good communication regarding the progress of service requests and their delivery within budgets, quality control schedules, while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental programs. 

Key responsibilities 

  • Receiving and processing all calls from the property maintenance department's services;
  • Assessment of the complexity of the work in order to direct it to the right sector;
  • Opening of requisitions in the information technology management system;
  • Preparation and distribution of work to the internal team and external suppliers;
  • Making appointments with tenants, speakers, concierges and external providers;
  • Management of requests for quotations and submissions;
  • Daily follow-up of all service requests;
  • Weekly reminder of employees and suppliers about the work to be done;
  • Verification and approval of invoices for accounts payable;
  • Data entry and requisition closures;

Experience and qualifications 

  • Diploma of vocational studies in an appropriate discipline (construction trades/maintenance), certificate in administration or any other combination of education and relevant experience;
  • Between three and five years of progressive professional experience related to the proposed mandate;
  • Very good knowledge related to the management of maintenance and repair operations;
  • Master of the Office suite, and other software for project management;
  • Knowledge of HOPEM property management software (an asset);
  • Very good knowledge of the French language, spoken and written;
  • Good knowledge of the English language, spoken and written.

  • Ability to work under pressure and rigorously manage multiple files simultaneously;
  • Autonomy and initiative;
  • Analytical and good judgment.
