Mechanical Engineering Technician (after-sales service)

Under the responsibility of the After Sales Coordinator, the jobholder will provide the company's customers with technical and administrative support by providing inspection and training on units owned by the company's customers. The after sales service technician must ensure the condition of the equipment of our customers, confirm that they can be used safely and that users receive the appropriate training to operate the scenes according to the standards detailed in our user manuals. .


Inspection: • Inspects our customers' and our fleet's Stageline equipment and completes the inspection report according to company standards • Ensures the condition of the equipment inspected and its compliance with our operating standards since inspection is the determining factor for the issuance of the equipment conformity certificate • Communicates with the company in order to obtain the required support from the equipment responsible for service projects or service engineering in case of major technical problem.

Training: • Facilitates technical training, both theoretical and practical, at the client or company level and ensures a good transfer of knowledge to the technicians involved in the training • Complete training reports and technicians' evaluations and send this information to the SAV project manager • Determine whether the technicians who have received the training are qualified to receive their certificate authorizing them to operate the Stageline equipment • Ensures the safety aspect of the equipment equipment at all times, especially during inclement weather and communicates information on applicable best practices (wind procedures, procedures and rigging, winter use, etc.) to participants.

Customer and Administrative Service: • Tracks the customer's needs and shares the information with the SAV Project Manager so that he / she can properly track it • Solves problems and performs minor repairs / maintenance, as needed, during the delivery of scenes • is attentive to the client and its employees and ensures to work in the spirit of the values ​​of the company • ensures the administrative and Clerical of each assignment • Provides high availability (week and weekend, variable workload: trips of several days / weeks) • Mobile and able to travel across Canada and the United States.


• College diploma in mechanical engineering • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English • Excellent skills and interest in manual work • Possess or have access to a car (for frequent trips) paid mileage • Basic technical knowledge of scene and / or hydraulic mechanics an asset • Basic knowledge of computer tools (Outlook, Excel and Word) • Hold a class 5 driver's license (classes 1 and 3 are considered assets) • Have a passport in good standing or able to obtain it as soon as possible.
