What are the responsibilities of this position?

We are looking for several people to fill our different shifts, whether evening, night or weekend.

Your challenge

We are looking for a manager with production experience recognized for his interpersonal skills, maturity and ability to influence others. Skillful with the technologies and concerned with the job well done, he will be involved in the improvement of the operational processes by finding simple and practical solutions. The candidate will, among others, assume the following duties:

  • Manage employees according to the collective agreement and human resources management policies;
  • Define goals and write performance reviews;
  • Define assignments and increased workload within the team and set priorities; • Establish budgets for the department and check the contents of the cost center;
  • Monitor the costs of progress and quality of work and identify solutions to problems encountered;
  • Respond to escalated technical and escalated questions from team members;
  • Make recommendations regarding recruitment and other human resource management activities (eg training);
  • Ensure pay equity for his work team and discuss salary adjustment with the department head; • Develop standards and procedures that will serve as a guide for the future;
  • Assign the resource requests and costs required for the proposed tasks and activities;
  • Understand all aspects of production cells, equipment management and cycle time reduction to ensure efficient management of work teams;
  • Manage improvement projects within his department and support departments.
  • He must communicate the progress of strategic projects in governance with senior management

The desired profile

  • College diploma with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Has the leadership to manage a team
  • A great sense of organization
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective and constructive relationships with people inside and outside the organization.
  • Strong ability to work well as a team;
  • Good knowledge of occupational health and safety rules, including WHMIS;
  • Electrical / electronic knowledge
  • Good experience in applying Lean concepts
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
