Production supervisor

THE MANDATE:

Humanware is looking for a production supervisor who can integrate into the operations team. He / she takes care of planning, organizing, supervising and controlling all the activities and resources required for the assembly of products and the preparation of orders to be delivered. Reporting to the head of operations, the person in post will have the following main responsibilities:

  • Regularly inform the head of operations of the activities, volume of work, anticipated problems, performance gaps and attendance, training needs or any other information for the smooth running in his department;
  • Ensure the continuous achievement of quality and performance standards;
  • Participate in development, maintenance and revisions of procedures, work instructions and quality records of his department;
  • Act as a resource person in the event of problems encountered in production;
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Carry out various specific mandates and produce various progress reports on the progress of mandates and activities of the production department;
  • Supervise and mobilize the members of its team eg on a daily basis;
  • Act as a trainer for the members of your team;
  • Manage the members of your team in collaboration with your immediate supervisor (performance management, hiring, conflicts , dismissals, leaves, internal policies, etc.);
  • Ensure the application of working conditions with regard to the respect of work schedules (attendance / absences / delays / break time) and follow up with their supervisor;
  • Ensure that a good work climate is maintained;
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with health and safety rules at work;
  • Evaluate problematic or risky situations, identify emergencies and recommend measures to be applied concerning health and safety at work;
  • Train employees adequately on health rules and safety to be observed and the safe work methods to be adopted;
  • Ensures that the standards of its nty and safety and the wearing of personal protective equipment;
  • Ensures that all health and safety events are recorded.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • College diploma and certificate in industrial production (any other combination of related education could be considered);
  • 5 years of experience in similar functions in an industrial environment;
  • Knowledge of Kanban, PVA and quality control production concepts;
  • Skill in team management;
  • Leadership;
  • Ability in problem solving;
  • Ability in oral and written communication;
  • Ability in interpersonal relationships;
  • Functional English;
  • Knowledge of Great Plains (asset).
