SUPERVISOR (PURIFICATION AND MAINTENANCE)
The Management Service of water's mission is to ensure the quality of water, the supply of drinking water as well as the treatment of waste water on Laval territory. He is responsible for water purification plants wastewater, drinking water production and monitoring of the quality of the water distributed, pumping stations and overflow works, detection of underground leaks as well as water networks including sewers and aqueduct. In addition, the LAVAL treatment plants have joined the "PEX-StaRRE" excellence program
The challenges that await you:
Under the direction of the Head of Division - Wastewater treatment, the incumbent assists his superior in the management of the activities under his responsibility and assumes the supervision of the resources for which he is responsible in accordance with the budget allocated and to the orientations, objectives, directives, instructions of his superior and of the management of the service.
He supervises a work team to ensure the proper functioning of the operations of the water treatment plant worn and comply with environmental standards. More specifically, he plans, coordinates and supervises maintenance work (preventive, predictive and curative) and repair of mechanical, electrical, electronic and control systems under his responsibility. He also participates in the application of the quality assurance program so that the indications and instructions of the program are respected.
He ensures the maintenance of discipline and sound management of all the resources made available to him, regularly produces reports on the management of the resources allocated to him and of the activities for which he is responsible. He submits the relevant recommendations to his sector of activity.
The desired profile:
- Diploma of college study (DEC) in water sanitation;
- Have six (6) years of experience relevant to the function, preferably acquired in the municipal field and within a water treatment plant ;
- Possess their qualification certificate (LRQ chapter F-5);
- Experience in management and supervision of unionized staff;
- Leadership, judgment, sensitivity to organizational priorities;
- Ability to work under pressure, manage several files at once;
- Writing and communication skills
