Working Conditions / Description

The challenges ahead:

Reporting to the Public Road Division Manager, the incumbent is responsible for service contracts including maintenance and repair of curbs, sidewalks and snow removal, snow depots, etc. He coordinates the execution of service contracts to ensure their full performance and supervises a team dedicated to the supervision of work outsourced, ensuring compliance with technical specifications. He ensures that the execution of the work complies with the specifications of the contracts, monitors and documents the progress of the work, intervenes with the service providers during any discrepancy or overshoot. He develops and recommends processes, methods and procedures to improve the performance and development of his group's activities, with a view to customer service and the municipality's ability to pay.

The incumbent is also called upon to evaluate the bids by sitting on the selection committees for the award of contracts. He evaluates and recommends the human, material and financial resources required for the smooth running of the activities for which he is responsible. keeps track of the budgets available to it. Results-oriented, the manager supervises, directs and supervises the team members in the fulfillment of their respective mandates, determines the general order of priorities, defines the objectives and informs of his / her expectations. It evaluates performance, recognizes performance and promotes the development of its staff.

Post requirement

The profile you are looking for:

§ Bachelor's degree in administration, management, operations management or any other relevant field;

  • Six (6) years of experience supervising the work of contractors
  • Knowledge of Public Works and Municipal Contract Management
  • Strong customer service skills, team building planning, control and monitoring

Details / Procedures

Work schedule: 40 hours per week spread from Monday to Friday
