Join a leading real estate developer in the operational management of a new, world-class building.

Our client is seeking a Building Operator to join their Operations team at a premier AAA office building. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all building systems and meeting the company's standards of management and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the proper operation of all building systems and equipment
  • Monitor tenant construction and capital projects to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
  • Liaise with consultants and supervise outside contractors to ensure compliance with building rules and regulations
  • Perform maintenance and repairs as required, including filter replacement, lamp replacement, and plumbing repair work
  • Conduct regular interior, exterior, and roof inspections and perform or arrange repairs
  • Perform daily walk-throughs, check equipment, and conduct water treatment tests
  • Assist in obtaining quotes for work to be performed and prepare operational reports
  • Monitor fire alarm systems, perform monthly fire, life, and safety testing, and respond to tenant requests

Ideal Candidate:
  • 5+ years of direct experience in Building Operations, with a focus on Class A and above office buildings
  • Experience with heat exchange units and cooling systems
  • Completion of BES I & II
  • Solid working knowledge of the OHSA and completion of WHMIS, Lock-Out/Tag-Out, Working at Heights, and First Aid with CPR
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of employees, tenants, and the public
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts and ability to work with minimum supervision
