JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Operations Director, the incumbent will play a key role in managing rental machine repairs. He will perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections of large equipment.

Your mandate, your challenges!

Without limitation and subject to change (in the latter case, upon notice from the employer), the main duties of a heavy equipment mechanic on the road are as follows:

• Detect breakdowns and malfunctions and assess the extent of repairs to be made and repair or replace broken or worn parts;
• Inspect rented equipment to detect worn or damaged parts in accordance with each manufacturer's maintenance program;
• Maintain all machinery systems or mechanisms: engines, transmissions, fuel, charging, starting, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems;
• Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation ;
• Complete the computer maintenance sheet and parts requisition;
• All other related tasks.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• DEP in construction machinery mechanics or heavy equipment mechanics (an asset);
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in the mechanical field;
• ASP construction, health and general safety on construction sites card;
• Experience in repairing diesel engines and electrical, hydraulic, and electronic components;
• Hold a valid Class 5 driver's license.
