Engineer – industrial and construction project manager – Montreal

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for planning, coordinating and controlling project operations in an industrial and construction environment. Ensure the management of the work as well as the supervision of various projects such as the following industrial, pharmaceutical, agri-food and bioindustrial fields.

  • Ensure coordination between professionals, subcontractors and the client in order to respect a project schedule and budget;
  • Assist in the preparation of plans and specifications in collaboration with the interdisciplinary project team for turnkey projects
  • Assist at the issuance of tender documents
  • Wrote service offers for our clients
  • Award contracts to subcontractors.
  • Take responsibility for archiving and document management of your projects
  • Monitor the work carried out on site by subcontractors and ensure compliance of plans and specifications;
  • Monitoring construction, including: shop drawings, meetings and site visits, change notices, budget monitoring, schedule, final deficiencies as well as start-up and commissioning; li>
  • Organize and lead coordination meetings and site monitoring between the various subcontractors and stakeholders;
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and correction of problems on the site;
  • Estimate the costs of various construction works.
  • Coordination of work with the site superintendent
    • Possibility of acting as superintendent if applicable
  • Assist the project manager with project closure at the construction, contractual and administrative levels
  • Assist the project director in his contractual/administrative/management tasks

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of construction and/or in an industrial environment preferably in the food, chemical process and biopharmaceutical disciplines;
  • Hold a baccalaureate in the following fields; construction engineering, building engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or agri-food engineering
  • Member of the Order of Engineers of Quebec;
  • Bilingualism;
  • Mastery of IT tools for budget and schedule monitoring – MS Project
  • Experience in engineering-consulting management an asset;
  • Determines a driving license
  • Know the laws, regulations, codes and standards related to the fields of activity.
  • Have a car and be mobile in the Montreal, South Shore and North Shore region
