In collaboration with the project manager, the tasks and responsibilities expected for this position are :

• Read and analyze technical plans and specifications
• Take quantities and establish the cost of work
• Process quotes, follow up, and transmit them to clients
• Ensure that work is executed according to plans and specifications
• Prepare estimates and monitor additional work and its impact on the schedule
• Follow up and manage projects administratively in collaboration with the delivery department

The ideal candidate has:

• Knowledge of the construction industry (an asset)
• Passion for commercial/industrial/institutional projects
• AEC/DEC/BAC in estimating, architecture, engineering, or relevant experience
• 1 to 3 years of experience related to estimating in the insulation field (an asset)
• Proficiency in reading architectural and structural plans
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Proficiency in Planswift or construction estimating software (essential)
• Good knowledge of written and spoken English (an asset)
• Ability to manage priorities and stress
• Strong analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
• Valid vehicle and driver's license

We also consider candidates without a degree but with at least 5 years of relevant experience in the field.
