Construction worker

As a Construction Laborer, you will play an essential role in the preparation and completion of various construction sites. You will work closely with the team of carpenters, foremen, and other specialized trades to efficiently support the progress of the work and maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized site.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Site Preparation: Transport, move, and organize necessary building materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Support to Specialized Teams: Assist carpenters and other trades (e.g., hold parts in place, assist with assembly and installation).
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Ensure the continuous cleanliness of work areas, collect debris, and dispose of materials properly.
  • Material Handling: Load and unload delivery trucks, verify proper receipt of materials.
  • Compliance with Safety Standards: Strictly apply occupational health and safety procedures (wearing personal protective equipment, tool maintenance, etc.).
  • Communication: Promptly report any problems or additional material/equipment needs to the appropriate superiors or colleagues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction field or in a manual labor position (an asset).
  • Physical stamina and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
  • Punctuality, reliability, and the ability to work in a team.
  • Basic knowledge of construction site tools and equipment (an asset).
  • Valid driver's license (an asset). (asset).
  • Compliance with safety standards and willingness to learn.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Compensation: $25.00 to $36.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
