Quality Engineering Specialist (Avionics)

Kontron Canada is looking for an Quality Engineering Specialist (Avionics) who will contribute to the continuous improvement of products.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE CHALLENGES AHEAD:

You will:

• Develop and maintain the quality management system for the manufacturing site and repair center in accordance with Transport Canada CARs 561, 571 and 573 requirements and other relevant regulations;
• Actively participate in obtaining and maintaining the certifications required to operate under TCCA standards;
• Conduct regular internal audits to ensure continuous compliance with quality and regulatory standards;
• Work closely with engineering and production teams to integrate the best quality assurance practices throughout all phases of avionics product development and manufacturing;
• Identify, document and resolve issues of non-compliance and potential failures in quality processes;
• Train and educate staff on avionics-related quality and safety requirements, promoting a culture of quality within the company;
• Serve as a liaison with regulatory authorities and certification bodies for all matters related to certification and quality;
• Write and keep technical documentation required for certification and quality audits up to date.

YOU WILL IMPRESS US IF YOU HAVE:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in aeronautical engineering, avionics or a related field;
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within the aerospace sector, ideally with specific experience in avionics;
• Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of TCCA standards and other relevant international standards; proven experience in managing product and/or site certifications under TCCA standards;
• Profile: Ability to work effectively in a team and lead cross-departmental projects; advanced problem-solving and risk management skills;
• Languages: French and English (verbal and written) given various communications our global entities.
