Estimator

We are known in the engineering and manufacturing sector for our innovative mechanisms, our human culture and the dynamism of our team.

We design lifting systems in several fields; lifting platforms to transform the configuration of performance halls, theaters; movable pool floors for residential, commercial or public; and lifting tables in industry (automotive, aeronautics, etc.). All this nationally and internationally.

We are looking for an Estimator who, under the supervision of the Chief Estimator, will be responsible for processing customer requests and ensuring the smooth running of all mechanical engineering projects through the submission stages, up to placing an order.

Here are the main responsibilities:

· Provide support to internal customers (chief estimator, salespeople, project managers) in the preparation of estimates and offers).

· Evaluate customer requests, tender and change order documents (estimate associated costs, assess the impacts of the terms and conditions provided for in customer documents).

· Analyze contractual documents and coordinate with the Chief Estimator the development of technical quotes and the price of the request.

· Track submissions and keep a record of activities.

· Participate in committees and activities related to sales.

· Perform administrative tasks related to this position.

· Participate in the analysis of the actual costs of projects once completed to ensure a feedback loop.

· Participate in project post mortems

· Contribute to updating the various tools (proposal, estimation tools) in order to develop them to improve their content

Required qualifications and skills:

· Have at least a college diploma in a technical field (ideally in engineering) or relevant experience in one of these fields;

· 2 to 5 years of experience in a technical field, ideally in an estimation or project management environment

· Large communication skills, and a sense of professional ethics.

· Good command of French and English, spoken and written.

· Good analytical mind

· Rigor

· Curiosity, versatility, dynamism and attention to detail.

· Ability to learn and adapt.

· Ability to work in a team.

· Organizational skills, excellent time management and priority setting skills.
